Brief introduction to FITCO

FITCO one:one+, became Chris van Loggerenberg’s personal training business at the Vineyard Hotel & Spa in 2002, after completing an extended period as international fitness educator, skills and conditioning coach and athletic performance consultant.

Chris was also instrumental assisting the owners of the Vineyard Hotel in 2004 with the launch of their international spa and wellness centre. Not only is this facility of world class standard but it is most probably nestled in one the most beautiful parts of Cape Town, six acres of attractive landscaped parkland on the banks of the Liesbeek River, located in the lush leafy suburb of Newlands.

FITCO one:one +, covers personal fitness training, group training and team concept training . The group training options originated as an extension from personal training. Personal training clients’ reaching their personal best in performance fitness , opened the opportunity for the next challenge.

The GI Jane's team training originated via the request of two clients, i.e. Jane Seggie and Madi Moir, to start a boot camp style specialist class. Since its induction in November 2002, the group concept training options have grown in popularity, i.e. The GI Joes in November 2004, under John Schooling and a year later a new team with Don Boyce, Martin Sheard and James Barty.

The diversity of the FITCO Training brands have over the following years extended to a wide variety of training concepts. Functional Integrated Training, Body Shift, CoreFlex, Functional Athletic Systems Training and the S-P-S Performance Model (Strength-Power-Speed). We have recently added personal and group yoga intensives as an alternative to the basic fitness orientated concepts.

We have set a clear mission statement and training philosophy for our business. Clients' welfare and in assisting them to achieve realistic and attainable goals have become the cornerstone and foundation for conducting our business.
